Heading into the holiday season, we’ve squeezed out one more little podcast to tide you over. This week we talk about Where the Wild Things Are, Tiger Woods, Animal Collective, Fleetwood Mac, Foursquare, and albums by Jay Chou and Fever Ray. Oh, and this kid:
We wish all of you, our loyal (?) listeners, a happy Chrismukkah, Kwanzmas, Channza, or whatever Festivus you’re celebrating in the next couple of weeks. May you have good food, with great friends and loved ones, and enjoy these moments in the great adventure of life. Oh, and don’t drink and drive.
xoxo
Ingmar and Billy.
PS I forgot to mention the name of the film in the Japanese film festival – it was Chef of the South Pole. Also, @jetsettingjoyce’s blog post about Baker d Chirico: http://www.melhotornot.com/ and the mince pie quest: http://www.trespassmag.com/?p=7371

You kids should list where your interludes come from, some of them are so cool, how the hell do you find them?
Awww head cold? Poor bunny. Though I have to say it sounds kinda cool.
Agreed about the Forum, I love it, it looks amazing in there, only been to the one concert there (Kate Miller-Heidke) and it sounded great.
Fleetwood Mac are awesome live. I’m not a major fan (but David is) so we went twice when they last came to Australia. Loved the energy that Mick Fleetwood (the Drummer) has, even after all these years in the biz. Yep Christine McVie hasn’t been with the band for a while.
Rumours surfaced that Sheryl Crow was going to tour with them on this current tour, but when Sheryl herself broke the news the band dumped her (they were miffed she broke the news when they wanted to do it).
I keep forgetting to checkin on FourSquare. Someone at Etihad Stadium keeps taking over me as the mayor.
Ewww mince pies are gross. I hate anything that has mashed fruit like that. including Christmas pudding and fruit cake.
I agree Tiger Woods is creepy looking.
The kid is pretty amazing, little bugger makes it look so easy. I can’t play my guitar to save my life.
Jason Mraz should be everywhere, he’s cool. His twitter is lame as. He doesn’t even do it (or didn’t last time I followed).
Freakin church folk, and yes the gays are rooted under the current government and the probable future government. All you have to do is look at the reports that the Howard government was talking campaign contributions from the Exclusive Brethren, a group that doesn’t pay taxes (neither the church nor their followers pay taxes), in return for certain an ear on reform. I may never happen but we need an impartial leader who will look at each thing that crosses their desk and say, “how does this affect our people”. And only enact the stuff that is good for people, not the stuff that looks good for them personally on paper.
We also need to start taxing the churches, they aren’t not for profit, they just collect their value in other ways, like gold and fancy dresses and cars for the priests. They are the biggest business on the face of the Earth.
And now that I’ve ranted and show my desire to be rid of religion (which will never happen). I’ll leave you to the Church holiday Christmas. Holidays are the only good thing to come out of the church
