Episode 13 – Lady Gag-Gag

Bad Romance video was amazing, she’s awesome. I have hated most of her music but love bad romance and the new Telephone. Maybe it is the repetitiveness that gets it stuck in one’s consciousness.

I really don’t get the appeal of Edward! Or Robert Pattinson. Bring on the wolf guys any time.

I think the movie “The Descent” annoys me. I haven’t watched it yet (though I have it downloaded) because I’ve read a book by the same name by Author Jeff Long, published in 1999 which has the same basic premise. Pale cannibal humanoids living under ground and a group of people go down there and are attacked. Of course the book branches out into a much more detailed and plot points. But it seems that the book could very well have been a catalyst for the movie, even though it is never referred to except to say, no it has nothing to do with the book.

Which is a shame cause I think the book plot would have made a great movie.

Have to stop listening to you now, not Stargate Fans! SG1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe.. c’mon boys give it another go.

I’ve never heard of Jeff Long’s The Descent, however I will definitely track it down. One of the things that makes The Descent movie so cool, is its sub plots – involving a woman who has recently lost her husband and daughter in a car crash (the cave is almost an metaphor for her depression), and her best friend who was actually having an affair with her husband. Give the movie a go, you’ll dig it!

Oh, and as for Count Cockular – the guys and girls at Night of the Living Podcast (www.notlp.com) were talking about it. It’s a podcast about the horror genre, but they always veer off into discussions about comics, sci-fi, fantasy novels sex and other random stuff. One of the hosts is gay and he brings a whole ‘nother element to it. Check it out, you might dig it.
